Janis Latimore

Janis Latimore was born in Washington, D.C., to loving parents. She lived in Paris as a child while her father, Dolphus Latimore, was stationed in France after serving in WWII. Upon returning to the U.S., her family maintained residency in both D.C. and Glenarden, Maryland. After graduating from high school and college, she completed a career in public service, research writing, poetry, and op-ed articles on the humanities and equality, and she remained abreast of social media and civic duties within her community. Writing is as natural to her as breathing and the warmth of the sun but is necessary for maintaining relevance.
